  Gunmen Kill Jonathan’s Former Aide, Gulak   Gunmen have killed a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ahmed Gulak in Umueze-Obiangwu community along Sam Mbakwe Airport road in Owerri, Imo state. Sources told Channels Television that Gulak who was a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was heading to the airport when the assailants attacked him and shot him on the spot. Gulak was trailed from his hotel room to the spot where he was killed. The CMD shared this information with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday and stated that despite several pleas from management and other stakeholders, the resident doctors have refused to call off their strike. The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) started their strike on May 1 due to some of their members not receiving their salary for four months as well as the non-enrolment of members of their union into IPPIS which was affecting payment of their benefits.
