2023: Oyo people‘ll stand with Yoruba Interest — Makinde Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Sunday sent a subtle solidarity message to the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general election. This was made known by the Deputy governor of Oyo state, Bayo Lawal who represented Seyi Makinde in Ondo State at the reception of Tinubu by the leader of Afenifere, Pa Fasoranti. Recall this newspaper had earlier reported that Fasoranti and the leadership of Afenifere, the Yoruba cultural and political organisation to present his Action Plan on how he intends to tackle the economic and other problems the country is grappling with. 2023: Oyo PDP May Not Have Candidates As Court Fixes Nov. 11 For Judgement The Federal High Court in Ibadan has fixed Nov. 11, 2022 for judgment in a case filed by some aggrieved Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Oyo State over conduct of party primaries into various positions for the 2023 general elections. The aggrieved PDP members filed the case before a Federal High Court in Ibadan challenging the conduct of the primary in Oyo State for excluding them from participating in the primary. The petitioners in the case are Hon. Olapade Abiodun, Barrister Niyi Aborisade, Hon. Taiwo Jimoh , Hon. Sakiru Raheem, Hon. Akande Toyin, Hon. Jelili Azeez and Ayoade Olusegun and others. The Respondents in the matter are the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and PDP. Makinde's Admittance of Leadership, Governance Failure Complement Our Report— Oyo APC The major opposition party in Oyo state, All Progressives Congress (APC), has made a case for the commendation of Governor Seyi Makinde over what it described as open admittance of failure by his administration to add value and meet the expectations of the good people of the state in the last 41 months.  Gov.
