Chairman, Senate Committee on Local Content, Senator Teslim Folarin made the disclosure on Thursday during closing ceremonies of his facilitated 4-Day Batch “B” Empowerment Trainings for 1000 youths of the Senatorial district. The three-term senator stated that cash grants to all participants of his two-week long empowerment trainings were part of his constituency projects aimed at empowering and improving the socio-economic development of his constituents.Apart from knowledge and skills imparted to the participants, each of them was given N40,000 to support their business ideas. Makinde Presents N294.5bn 2022 Budget To Assembly- ........Makes Allocation For Ibadan Circular Road Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has presented N294,515,445,107 appropriation bill for year 2022 to the State House of Assembly. The budget is about N24.8billion lower than that of 2021 which stood at N318.8billion. The presentation which was slated for 8AM Tuesday started around 10AM with top government functionaries, traditional rulers, community leaders among other relevant stakeholders in attendance. The 2022 Appropriation Bill was christened “Budget of Growth and Opportunity.” While while allocation for capital expenditure stands at N156billion (52.97 percent) of the budget, the recurrent expenditure was put at slightly above N138.5billion (47.3 percent) In the estimate, infrastructure got the highest allocation with N75.6billion (21.19 percent). It was followed by Education which got N54.2billion (20.87 percent), Health, N15.9bn (5.23 percent) and Agriculture which got N11.798bill
