Jigawa: Namadi appoints SSG, Chief of staff, others Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi has appointed the former Commissioner of information, Bala Ibrahim Mamsa as Secretary to the State Government, SSG. This was contained in a statement signed by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila. The statement said the governor also approved the appointment of Senator Mustapha Makama Kiyawa as Chief of Staff and Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Garun Gabas as Principal Private Secretary (PPS). Other appointees are Abdullahi S.G Shehu, Accountant General and Dr. Habib Muhammad Ubale, Executive Secretary, Jigawa State Youth Empowerment/Employment Agency. DSS officials stormed the EFCC Ikoyi office on Tuesday, stopping officials from accessing their workplace. Gunshots were also held in the area. JUST-IN: AIT’s Founder, Raymond Dokpesi Is Dead Raymond Dokpesi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and founder, DAAR Communications plc(parent company of AIT) , has died at the age of 71. A family member confirmed this to THE WHISTLER on Monday, saying the media mogul died at a hospital in Abuja. According to the family source who doesn’t want to be mentioned, Dokpesi had suffered a stroke shortly after the recent Ramadan fast and had been managing his health since. The family source told THE WHISTLER that Dokpesi was eventually placed on occupational therapy to improve his daily activities through walking out at the gym. The source said during one of his routine gym exercises, Dokpesi was electrocuted while using one of the gym equipment, leading to stroke and his eventual death. The Dokpesi family is expected to issue a statement on the development soon. @INSTANTnews
