Simeon Olaniyi Akinloye distributed foodstuffs items, cash and hand sanitizers to the people of Ayedade state constituency in the heat of it. While distributing these materials, Hon.Akinloye promised to continue do everything in making life comfortable for the Ayedade residents. In fulfilment of his promise, on Wednesday 27th October, 2021, Hon. Akinloye marked his birthday with a surprise in the faces of Ayedade constituents. FG, States, LGA Shares #739.965Billion For The Month Of September The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of N739.965 billion September 2021 federation account revenue to the Federal, States and Local Governments Councils. This was contained in a communiquƩ issued at the end of the virtual meeting of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) for October, 2021. The N739.965 billion total Distributable Revenue comprised distributable Statutory Revenue of N577.765 billion, distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N159.096 billion and Exchange Gain of N3.104 billion. In September 2021, the sum of N126.272 billion was the total deductions for cost of collection, statutory transfers, savings and refunds. The balance in the Excess Crude Account (ECA) was $60. Oyo Jailbreak>> Explosive Detonated by Police, says Prisons Spokesman The Nigeria Correctional Service says the Nigeria Police Force has detonated an explosive left behind by persons who attacked the Abolongo medium custodial centre in Oyo town, Oyo state. The facility was attacked by gunmen on Friday, with more than 300 inmates still missing as of Sunday. A personnel of the Oyo state security network agency, codenamed Amotekun, died in the attack while an inmate of the facility was killed while trying to escape from the prison. Two security operatives at the facility — a military officer attached to the Oyo state joint security anti-crime patrol team, also known as ‘Operation Burst’, and another Amotekun operative — sustained injuries. On Tuesday afternoon, there were reports of another explosion around the facility. However, Olanrewaju Anjorin, Oyo NCS spokesman, told TheCable that there was a detonation exercise at the centre. CBN introduces eNaira app, merchant wallet The Central Bank of Nigeria has finally launched its Central Bank Digital Currency called eNaira on Monday. The eNaira was scheduled to be launched on October 1, 2021, but was moved due to a clog of activities billed for Nigeria’s 61st anniversary celebrations. The Digital Currency has two applications – eNaira speed wallet and eNaira merchant wallet, which were launched on the Google Playstore and Apple Store on Monday. A  statement on the eNaira website explained the overall function of the currency and its value to Nigeria’s economy. The statement read, “eNaira is a Central Bank of Nigeria-issued digital currency that provides a unique form of money denominated in Naira. “eNaira serves as both a medium of exchange and a store of value, offering better payment prospects in retail transactions when compared to cash payments.” @INSTANTnews
