Osun 2022: 10,000 PDP Members Defected To APC In Osogbo As Oyetola, Omisore Receive The Defectors  Governor Gbeyega Oyetola of Osun State Gov. Gboyega Oyetola of Osun and the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Iyiola Omisore, on Tuesday received 10,000 defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun. A factional Chairman of PDP in the state, Mr Wale Ojo, who led the defecting members, said that they left the party to align with a symbol of excellence and progress in the state. “Joining the opposition PDP in Osun is like joining forces with wasters. “Parties that have become serial failures are not worth following for anyone who is serious and driven by excellence. “That is why we have come to align with a symbol of excellence and progress in Gov. Broadcaster Olalomi Amole, Arulogun, Others Replaces   (BSA) Sarumi Aliyu As Makinde Approved Fresh Appointments  Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has appointed ace broadcaster, Alhaji Olobe Amole Olalomi, as First Commissioner/Board Member of the Local Government Service Commission. The governor equally appointed a former Woman Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Mrs. Funmi Arulogun, as Senior Special Assistant (Diaspora). A statement by the Special Assistant (Print Media) to the governor, Moses Alao, indicated that the appointments were made public in separate letters signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun. Voter registration: Fresh registrants hit 10.4 million, says INEC The number of fresh voters registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission in the ongoing registration currently stands at 10,487,972, the commission said on Monday. The commission gave the figure in its update for Week 11 in the Fourth Quarter sent to Journalists in Abuja. According to the short document, the number of completed registration stood at 8,631,696 (online – 3,250,449 and physical – 5,381,247. There are 4,292,690 males, 4,339,006 females, 67,171 PWDs and 6,081,456 youths.
