MTN Booster Station Guts Fire In Ibadan An MTN booster station located inside premises of the University of Ibadan (UI) on Saturday 22nd of February, 2025 caught fire due to an electric surge. It was gathered by INSTANTnews that the booster station is situated within the Faculty of Nursing at the university. It was learnt the fire incident affected the Mikano generator, board, and other telecommunications gadgets in the booster station. Confirming the incident, the General Manager, Oyo State Fire Service, Yemi Akinyinka said that the booster station belonged to MTN, adding that men of the agency and firefighters from the university were able to quench the fire.
