Ona-Ara Set For Historic APC Youth League Summit, A New Era of Grassroots Political Engagement Begins


In a strategic move to redefine youth participation in local governance, the All Progressives Congress Youth League (APCYL) has announced its 2026 maiden edition of Ona-Ara Youth League Summit & Interactive Session.

According to the organiser, the summit, themed "Ona-Ara LGA/Oyo Central APC Mobilization Drive and Get Together," is designed as a high-impact forum to bridge the gap between young progressives and the party’s leadership structure. The event which organized by the Office of the Ona-Ara LGA Youth Leader in collaboration with APCYL Ona-Ara, aims to consolidate the party's influence within the local government and across Oyo State.

The organizers explained that the summit would serves three primary objectives; 
》Meaningful Engagement: Creating a direct line of communication between youth stakeholders and party elders.

》Structural Strengthening: Fortifying the APC’s grassroots foundation in Ona-Ara to ensure long-term political stability.

》Youth Leadership: Encouraging young people to take active roles in progressive governance and policy-making.

The summit is expected to attract a significant gathering of party faithful, youth advocates, and political stakeholders across Oyo Central and State at large. It promises to be a blend of intellectual discourse and a social "get-together," fostering a sense of community among members.

"This is more than just a meeting; it is a mobilization drive," a representative from the APCYL stated. "We are building a party structure that is inclusive, vibrant, and ready to meet the challenges of modern governance." The event will holds on Saturday 10th January, 2026 at the popular mini hall, Oke-Bola cooperative building, under Olorunsogo bridge in Ona-Ara local government.
