Saheed Adewale Oriade are celebrating his safe return following his release from captivity in the early hours of Saturday, January 10, 2026. Hon. Oriade, a prominent chieftain of the APC in Oyo State, was abducted thirty-nine days ago on December 3, 2025. His release marks the end of a weeks-long ordeal that has drawn significant concern from political associates and the general public.

​Hon. Oriade was forcibly taken by unidentified gunmen from his office located within the PJ Square Shopping Complex, adjacent to the NNPC station at Elewure, Iyana Ajanla, along the Akala Expressway in the New Garage area of Ibadan.
