No Egbeda/Ona-Ara Youths Oppose Akin Alabi’s Third Term; Group Rebuts Misleading News Reports

The Egbeda/Ona-Ara Youth Group, a prominent socio-cultural organization, has officially debunked a recent report published by an online news platform, Nairalandnews, which falsely claimed that some youths were protesting against the third-term bid of Honourable Akin Alabi.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the group described the report titled "Protest erupt as Youth in Egbeda/Ona-Ara opposed Akin Alabi's third term" as a total fabrication, designed to misinform the public and create artificial tension within the federal constituency.
Addressing the press, the Chairman of Phoenix Emporium and a prominent leader from Ward 09 in Ona-Ara, Barrister Dahood Kolawole, stated that the report was the handiwork of ambitious individuals looking to derail the progress of the constituency for personal gain.

"It is obvious that certain people are looking for every avenue to misdirect the public to satisfy their own political ambitions," Barr. Kolawole said. "The constituents of Egbeda/Ona-Ara want progress, and that progress is clearly visible through the work of Hon. Akin Alabi. There is no youth movement against him, in fact, the support is so strong that we would back him even for a fourth term." He expressed.

The group emphasized that the current representation has brought tangible development to the area, and any attempt to incite the youth against such progress would fail.

Comrade Babatunde Olowogbayi, a youth leader from the Adegbayi axis, expressed his dissatisfaction with politicians who rely on fake news to gain relevance.
"Who are these supposed youths protesting? This is a desperate and dishonest way to play politics," Olowogbayi remarked. "We are solidly behind the 'Akin Alabi third term agenda.' Only those who are unreasonable or inconsequential to the growth of this constituency would oppose the current momentum. We will not allow anyone to use us for unlawful protests." He concluded.

The coalition concluded by reassuring the public that the youth of both Egbeda and Ona-Ara local governments remain united in their support. They cautioned media outlets to verify their stories before publication to avoid being used as tools for political propaganda.
The group reiterated their commitment to ensuring Hon. Akin Alabi returns to the National Assembly to continue his legislative duties and community development projects.
