The Governorship Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State, Kunle Olatunji, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, while calling for unity, empathy, and sustained prayers for national rebirth, growth, and development.
In his goodwill message, Olatunji urged Muslims and Nigerians at large to reflect deeply on the spiritual significance of the Arafat exercise and Eid-el-Kabir celebration, which symbolise obedience, sacrifice, love for Almighty Allah, and divine acceptance of prayers.
He enjoined adherents of the Islamic faith to continue to uphold the values of love, peace, tolerance, sacrifice, and commitment to nation-building in their daily relationships and engagements.
According to him, “At a time when our nation is undergoing tough but necessary reforms amidst worsening insecurity, economic hardship, and preparations towards the 2027 general elections, Nigerians must embrace the virtues of prayers, unity, love, and empathy as a people sincerely committed to national rebirth, sustainable growth, and development.”
Olatunji further called on leaders at all levels of government to demonstrate visionary leadership, compassion, and empathy towards the people, while intensifying efforts to tackle the growing insecurity across the country.
He also advocated a strategic review of the implementation process of ongoing economic reforms in order to provide relief, hope, and succour to citizens facing difficult economic realities.
The ADP gubernatorial candidate wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyous, and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
