Oyo APC Congress>>Tegbe Tells Supporters To Await Oke’s Directive

Team Tegbe, a group working for the realization of the governorship aspiration of Joseph Tegbe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, has urged its supporters to remain calm.

A statement by Hafiz Oladejo, on behalf of the group, said that the admonition became important following statement by the outgoing chairman of the party alleging falsification of delegate list to be used for today’s state congress.

Against all odds and aberration to thwart the fast-growing internal democracy built on the progressive philosophy that made the National headquarters of APC adopt consensus for all elective positions, Oyo APC remains one. It is not far-fetched that some desperate political actors cannot survive it except they falsify or mutilate the tools of operation.

In order not to thwart the success embedded in the wisdom of the party, we in TeamTegbe hereby call all stakeholders to remain steadfast and determined to be right and together which was brilliantly exemplified at the Stakeholders meeting yesterday at the instance and against the obvious wishes and wrong interpretation of the Congress committee Chairman -Gambo. His seemingly hatchet job failed to embarrass our principal, Mogaji Tegbe but in turn had it raw that Mogaji Tegbe’s agitation was a collective interest of Oyo APC that all Congress list must not be falsified as speculated.

Now that it has been established by the caretaker chairman of Oyo APC- Chief Akin Oke, we boldly say that the act of bravado of our principal, Mogaji Tegbe was proactive and exonerated. We dont expect less of a leader like him whose interest is always on making Oyo first again.

Our take in all these hullabaloos is that Oyo APC remains one and say no to the falsified list. However, promote the adoption of a consensus list of Oyo APC state exco and call for its ratification today. This we believe can set new tone for genuine redress where necessary in the ward and local structures of our dear party.

We use this medium to appeal to the teeming members of APC Oyo to stay calm and wait for the directive of our Caretaker chairman, Ba Akin Oke on further directives on the congress.
