Tinubu, Aregbesola May Reconcile As Alaafin Reportedly Invites Duo
The National leader and presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is scheduled to pay a visit to the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III today, Sunday, February 20th.
Tinubu’s scheduled visit to Oyo town is part of continuation of his engagement with traditional rulers across the country’s six geo-political zones in respect of his 2023 presidential ambition.
Meanwhile, an unconfirmed report had it that the monarch had also invited the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola to his palace to broker peace between him and his erstwhile political ally, Bola Tinubu.
Aregbesola had, last week, at Ijebubesha, during a campaign, slammed Tinubu and the Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola over the current raging political misunderstanding between the Minister and his successor.
“We exalted him beyond his status and he turned himself to a god over us and we had sworn to ridicule anyone who compares himself to God. God has no competitor; He is enough to be God.” Aregbesola said of Tinubu in a video now viral.
