As Christians all over the World set to commemorate this year's Birth of Jesus Christ, the APC Senatorial Candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial District, Dr YUNUS ABIODUN AKINTUNDE has felicitated with Christians in Nigeria with a charge for them to imbibe in the culture of using this season to pray for peace, unity and harmony in Nigeria. Dr YUNUS ABIODUN in a Merry Christmas message to christians, said that it is right for people in different religious coverage to reaffirm their faith in regards to any celebration they have in practice.
He noted that at a time like this, Nigeria needs peace, unity and harmony to consolidate on the path of good and effective leadership, stating that nothing was more important than the love and unity experienced in a place where it has long been experienced due to insecurity resulting to economic woes caused by the lingering terrorism and banditry.
 
While acknowledging the steadfastness of the Buhari's led administration in ensuring that no stone is left unturned in providing Nigerians with quality leadership despite the challenges the country is engrossed, he appealed to Nigerians not to loose hope for a better tomorrow, saying that tough times do not last but tough people do.

"I want to felicitate wholeheartedly with Christians faithful in Nigeria, and Oyo Central Senatorial District as they mark this year's Christmas and New Year festivities. It is my earnest prayer that as they celebrate, God almighty will grant them all that their heart desires , May the love and the inspiration of Christmas be yours the whole year through !Amen.
I also want to beseech my christian brothers and sisters to keep their faith and they should use this period to pray for the peace, unity and harmony in Nigeria". He added.

Speaking further, Hon Dr YUNUS ABIODUN AKINTUNDE disclosed that his administration as Senator representing Oyo central senatorial district if elected would tag everyone along irrespective of their political, religious and cultural background, adding that Nigeria is one country with one people and everyone should have a fair input on issues bothering good governance.
