Oyo-2023: My Journey From APC To PDP — Adekola Adeoye, Ex-PDP Youth Leader

Oyo-2023: My Journey From APC To PDP — Adekola Adeoye, Ex-PDP Youth Leader

The political activities in the Pacesetter State continue to be trailing the dramatic lane with many political events popping up here and there. In what many have call season of transfers, it is then obvious that, many in and out movements will be experienced as the country approaches elections.

In Oyo State, a prominent youth politician, Asiwaju Adekola Adeoye, who was during the party primaries last year, 2022, ported to the All Progressive Congress (APC) with his followers. And as a new bride, he was put in the forefront of APC political campaign in the state. As for a new party entrant to be appointed to lead a campaign committee, it speaks a lot about his political and numerical strength.

In an interview with the former Accord and PDP Youth Leader, Asiwaju Adekola Adeoye, revealed why he left the APC and rejoined his former party with the intervention of the governor, Gov. Seyi Makinde and other Stakeholders of the party.

Why do you leave APC?

Thank you, there is nothing much my brother. I just feel like to go back home. No place like home. I was treated nicely why on sabbatical with APC.
Yes, they treated me nice, but no matter how the enjoyment and ecstasy might be, it can’t be like that of your home. No string attached; home is sweet.

Your journey in APC, any lesson?

Yes, this life is full of many things. We learn new things. We relearn some things, and as a matter of fact, we must unlearn some others. And you can’t really be strong until you see a funny side to things. You have got to stay strong to be strong in tough times. The world is the great gymnasium where we come to make ourselves strong. My strength is as the strength of ten, because my heart is pure. With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts. No places like home, I need to go back home to join my brother and sisters in the youth Constituency and work for PDP from top to bottom.

With your political journey over the years, any advice to youth politicians?

Thank you once again, this life is all about experience. That is why the elderly people said experience is the best teacher. On that, I will advise the youths to be more focused because success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

The People’s Democratic Party is my political home. PDP is my natural habitat. Though circumstances have made me sojourn in other political climes, and I have learned greatly and have come back better informed and more educated. The youth must learned forgiveness and penitence in there journey of life. THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

I have a plethora of people who have helped shape my political career.

My father, leader and mentor High Chief Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja tops the table. He has been my political and life compass and role model. The story of my life in and out of politics will be incomplete without Baba Ladoja.

My Uncle and Leader Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe I appreciate you more because of the road I have traveled with you. I appreciate you so much sir. especially your heart. You are everything to me, I will forever be grateful to you sir. My Uncle Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe played his part well when it was most important. He will continue to deserved a place in my heart.

To my political family, the PDP family where I have grown politically, I appreciate you all.

“In 2023, it must be PDP from top to bottom.” Asiwaju Adekola Adeoye concluded.
