Adeleke's Aide Urged Ayedaade Residents To Come Out'em'mass For Saturday Council Polls
Honourable Olaniyi Simeon Akinloye, Special Assistant to Osun State Governor, has urged residents of Ayedaade Local Government Area to come out in large numbers and exercise their civic duty in the forthcoming council election on Saturday.
Akinloye made this call during a meeting with his OSA team in Gbongan, his hometown. He emphasized the importance of participation in the electoral process, particularly in the face of intimidation.
"The Saturday election is sacrosanct and in line with the court order," Akinloye explained. "I urge every citizen of Gbongan, Orile-Owu, and Odeomu to shun fear and come out to vote. We have faith in the security agencies to perform their duties diligently, as stipulated by the Constitution."
Akinloye also cautioned against any form of violence, crisis, or actions that could compromise the peace and stability of the state. This call to peace is particularly significant, given the recent crisis in the state between APC and PDP on who controls the local governments administratives.
By encouraging active participation in the electoral process and promoting peace, Akinloye reaffirms his commitment to the well-being and development of Ayedaade Local Government Area and Osun State in general.
