Oyo: Akin Alabi Delivers Solar-Powered Borehole To Akanran Community, Ona Ara LGA

Hon. Akin Alabi, the Member representing Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Works, has delivered a solar-powered borehole project to Origbo Aba Oko rere Akanran, Ward 1, Ona Ara Local Government, in response to the growing water scarcity in the area.

This project is part of Hon. Akin Alabi's plan to construct 50 boreholes across Ona Ara and Egbeda in 2025, which aims to provide sustainable access to clean water for more communities.
In a statement issued by Hameed Mustapha Ramadan, Akin Alabi’s aide on media and publicity, the lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring access to clean and potable water for residents of his constituency.

“Water is a basic necessity, and my priority is to ensure our communities no longer struggle to access clean and safe water. This borehole project is part of my broader plan to construct 50 boreholes across Egbeda and Ona Ara in 2025, providing lasting solutions to water scarcity,” Hon. Akin Alabi stated.

Residents of Origbo Aba Oko rere in Akanran have lauded the intervention, with community leader Tunji Adeoye expressing deep appreciation for the lawmaker’s timely response.

“Ona Ara Local Government is currently experiencing low water supply from wells, and many have dried up. We appreciate Hon. Akin Alabi for his quick intervention, which will greatly improve our daily lives,” Adeoye said.

The new project comes after the recent commissioning of a solar-powered borehole in Wofun Community, located in Egbeda Local Government. This further indicates Alabi's commitment to grassroots development.

With more borehole projects planned in the coming months, Hon. Akin Alabi continues to fulfill his promises of infrastructure development and improved living conditions for the people of Egbeda and Ona Ara federal constituency.
