"We Have Lost A Great Spiritual, Traditional Leader," Oyo Central Senator, Dr Akintunde Mourns Sarkin Sasa
Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Katsina, Sarkin Sasa Sardaunan Yamma, died this evening at the age of 125. 

Until his death, he was the Chairman Council of Arewa Traditional Rulers in the 17 Southern States of Nigeria. 

A staunch advocate of good governance in a democratic setting, Alhaji Maiyasin Katsina was an epitome of humility, piety and commitment to service to humanity.
In a release made available to the Media through Kunle Olatunji the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Yunus Akintunde, he expressed his heartfelt condolences on the passage of the notable traditional ruler.

Well loved and highly respected by his subjects and associates across the country, Alhaji Katsina Sarkin Sasa as he was fondly called will be sorely missed.
