2027: Constituents Demand Return of Hon. Sunday Adepoju (Omoyin) to Represent Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency

Following the recent emergence of unconfirmed prospective candidate lists for the 2027 general elections, a powerful grassroots movement has emerged within the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency of Oyo State. Stakeholders, community leaders, and youth groups are formally calling on the former Postmaster General of the Federation and two-term federal lawmaker, Hon. Sunday Adepoju Adeyemi, popularly known as Sunday Omoyin, to return to the green chamber of National Assembly.
The surge in support follows the circulation of several intending candidate names under the All Progressives Congress (APC) banner. Constituents argue that the current political climate demands a representative with a proven track record of legislative excellence, administrative experience, and deep-rooted local impact.
During his previous two terms in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sunday Adepoju was widely recognized for facilitating critical road projects and rural electrification.
