As millions of Islamic faithful worldwide gather to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, the former Branch Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Ona-Ara Local Government, Comrade Adewale Azeez, has extended his warmest congratulations to Muslim teachers across Ona-Ara and Oyo State.

In a statement make available to journalists today in Ibadan, Comrade Azeez expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for sparing the lives of educators to witness another joyous Eid celebration. He commends the teachers for their resilience, dedication, and invaluable contributions to the development of the education sector in Oyo State despite prevailing economic realities.

"Eid-el-Kabir is a season of profound sacrifice, obedience, and faith. Our Muslim teachers embody these virtues every day as they selflessly mould the future leaders of our society. On this auspicious occasion, i felicitate our colleagues in Ona-Ara and the entire state, praying that the blessings of this season bring peace and prosperity to their households." The statement read. 

Reflecting on the deeper spiritual significance of the festival, the former NUT Chairman urged Muslim educators and the entire Ummah to use this sacred period to offer fervent prayers for Oyo State and Nigeria, particularly concerning the country's ongoing security challenges.

Comrade Azeez emphasized that sustainable development and a conducive learning environment can only thrive in an atmosphere of absolute peace and stability.

"As we celebrate, let us not forget the power of collective prayer.
