The political momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections in Oyo State intensified on Friday as the Neighbour-to-Neighbour (NTN) Campaign initiative officially inaugurates its ward coordinators for Ona-Ara Local Government Area. The high-profile event, which drew a massive crowd of party chieftains, community leaders, and grassroots mobilizers, was held at the Gagat Event Centre, Jegede, Ona-Ara.

Declaring the ceremony open, the director and state coordinator of the initiative, Farmer Hon. Omolara Kafilat Busari delivered an impassioned welcome address expressing profound gratitude to the dignitaries and party faithful present. She charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to hit the ground running by returning to their respective wards to recruit dedicated community agents.
According to her, the primary mandate of the coordinators goes beyond mere voter mobilization, extending into a full-scale grassroots campaign for all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Ona-Ara, with a special focus on the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli (BSA).

Reinforcing this charge, a former Ona-Ara council chairman, Hon. Ismail Akanni, popularly known as Akanni Ere, urged the coordinators to execute their assignments with utmost dedication, integrity, and capacity. He offered prayers for divine guidance and protection as they embarked on the grassroots drive.

Speaking on behalf of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, Hon. Dauda reiterated that the overarching objective of the campaign is a sweeping victory for the entire APC ticket, from the presidency down to the local level. He made a passionate appeal to any party members nursing grievances from previous internal primaries to let go of animosities and channel their energy into collective victory.

"If Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Hon. Funmi Obisesan, Hon. Akin Alabi, Dr. Yunus Akintunde and Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli win the election. Every party member stands to benefit," Hon. Dauda stated.

Launching a critique of the incumbent administration, Hon. Dauda alleged that the current local government system in Oyo State has been rendered functionally paralyzed. He assured the electorate that upon assumption of office, Senator Sharafadeen Alli’s incoming administration will immediately restore full autonomy and operational effectiveness to local government councils across the state.
He added that the incoming BSA administration has comprehensive, people-centered manifestos designed specifically to uplift women, youths, artisans, and commercial traders across Oyo State.
In their goodwill messages, Hon. Morenikeji and Hon. Ifeoluwa urged the coordinators to maintain safety and vigour during their door-to-door campaigns. Hon. Ifeoluwa proudly announced that all necessary materials and logistical equipment are already fully on the ground to guarantee the operational success of the coordinators.

Dignitaries at  the official inauguration of NTN, including Honourable Wale Adebayo, Honourable Ismail Akanni, Honourable Tijani, Honourable Dauda Egbeda among others local, state and federal representatives.
