As the political momentum builds toward the 2027 general elections in Oyo State, political stakeholders have continued to roll out policy guarantees aimed at securing the mandate of the electorate.
Weighing in on the welfare of the state’s workforce, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ona-Ara Local Government, Honourable Ifeoluwapo Oyedeji, has assured civil servants and pensioners in the state of a new dawn of financial security under the anticipated administration of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.

Speaking to journalists in Ibadan, Honourable Oyedeji maintained that public servants, both at the state and federal tiers form the indispensable backbone of any progressive and developed society, stressing that their welfare should never be treated with levity.
According to the APC chieftain, the narrative surrounding workers' welfare must shift from tokenism to a strict commitment to statutory obligations. He assured that once Senator Sharafadeen Alli assumes office in 2027, prompt payment of monthly salaries, pensions, and leave allowances will be treated as foundational priorities.
"Talking about your leave allowances, car, and housing loans, all these are your rights, not privileges," Oyedeji declared passionately.
"Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli is one of you. Having served closely within the governance structure of this state and currently representing our people at the national level, he understands deeply how critical these entitlements are to the dignity and productivity of the workforce." Oyedeji further called on the state's workforce, labour unions, and retirees to rally total support behind the APC flagbearer, assuring them that their collective interests would be robustly protected under an Alli-led administration.
Transitioning to party politics and grassroot mobilization, Honourable Oyedeji used the platform to laud the immense contributions of the Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland and Okanlomo of Odun, Asiwaju Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS). He praised the business mogul and political philanthropist for his commitment to the progress of the APC, as well as his total backing for the reelection bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Sharafadeen Alli's gubernatorial ambition for 2027. He noted that the JDS political dynasty remains a formidable pillar for progressive ideals in the state.
In the same vein, the Ona-Ara APC chieftain formally welcomed a wave of defectors who recently dumped the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) southwest for the APC. He assured the newcomers of an inclusive political home, promising that the party structure maintains an open-door policy characterized by unbiased treatment and equal opportunities for all members.
With Senator Sharafadeen Alli officially unveiled as the consensus and standard-bearer of the APC for the 2027 Oyo State governorship race, endorsements centered on administrative competence, welfare reforms, and infrastructural continuity are expected to dominate political discourse in the coming months as parties gear up for intense campaigns across the thirty-three local government areas.
