The Oyo State APC Presidential Campaign Council has announced key appointments as part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The announcement followed a meeting with Local Government Ambassadors for Renewed Hope across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State, where strategies for grassroots mobilisation, improved coordination and public engagement were discussed.

According to the statement, the ambassadors were urged to intensify their activities and engage directly with residents to communicate the policies, programmes and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The appointments include Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle as State Deputy Coordinator; Hon. Yinka Taiwo as Assistant State Coordinator; and Engr. Idris Adeoye as Director of Budget, Finance and Resource Management.

Others are Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete, appointed Secretary, and Hon. Gbenga Olayemi, who will serve as Director of Inter-Party Affairs.

The appointments are aimed at strengthening the operational structure of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Oyo State.

The statement also reaffirmed the council’s commitment to President Tinubu’s re-election bid and the success of APC candidates in Oyo State in 2027, while emphasising party unity, reconciliation and effective grassroots engagement.
